Ruby is named Woman of the Year by Veuve Clicquot and the champagne flows at the Berkley Hotel in Belgravia. Here she is with her award, being slightly overshadowed by the ‘horse with giant cock’ art piece on the wall behind (no that’s not it’s leg). How tasteful and not at all distracting when dining!
 And the wonderful Baroness Helena Kennedy when naming outstanding women in the gathering, acknowledged me and Ruby for “Losing It” and it’s contribution to the understanding of mental illness.What an incredible thing to have happen… a remarkable honour and a joyful lunch spent with amazing women human rights activists, to female bagpipers to this darling lady. 101 years young and once a suffragette, it was quite something to meet this ground breaking lady. |
 Another fab woman in amidst the sea of ovaries was an idol of mine, Sandi Toksvig. So damn funny and lovely and tiny. I swear I met so many amazing women that day i swear I was high on estrogen! |
 I’m slightly embarrassed to say it but I love ‘The Archers’ (longest running Brit radio soap) and here are all the female cast members… almost wet myself! Worse I shut my eyes and guessed their characters based on their voices and then did my impersonations of them to them. (pathetic really) Here’s the lovely actress who plays Liliian Archer with the ever glam and gorgeous Lulu. After this I had to lie down. |
…and I thought maybe I’d dress up in something that wasn’t red! I look so happy but was totally sad to be finishing this great run. Oh yes, and I tripped over the bloody hem and went tit over arse later that evening having drunk my own weight in wine. God to Owen… don’t wear dresses!
What a glorious sight on the way to the theatre (love that tongue). Dressed in Mulberry, this dapper doggies owner seemed more like a butler and proudly produced the canine’s card with website details. I wonder if he tweets?
At the cafe next door..a fab mix of cabbies and pit musicians… never a dull moment. (What the feck am I doing under that hat!)
Compared to Edinburgh, our teeny rooms are a thing of great wonder and delight…see our beaming faces!
Here we are having our final pic with Matt Henry, who’s been our darling SM and lighting guy for 3 runs. We’ll miss him, but he’ll be popping in now and again and of course we have all those memories of Edinburgh, the portaloos, rain, more rain, screaming for tea…good times.

Ruby and I bounced around in front of it whilst the other took photos until we realized that our producers were watching us from the nearby street cafe!!! What a couple of goof balls, but really these things don’t happen everyday do they?
